Coaches
Mark List - Coach
Mark began
his swim career over 45 years ago. Mark has experience as a summer league, age
group, high school, college, and Masters swimmer. He attended Phillips Academy
in Andover, MA where he was a 4 year All-American and the top high school
backstroker in the nation his junior and Senior years. From there, Mark swam at
the University of North Carolina. At UNC, he was a 2-year All-American in the
100 and 200 yard backstroke. Mark continues his swimming as a Master swimmer. He
has been ranked in the top 10 in his age group in the country 23 times. In 2002,
he was the top ranked backstroker in his age group.
Mark began
his coaching career over 30 years ago. During this time, he has coached summer
league, age group, and high school swimmers. He also has many years experience
teaching swimming.
Bonny
List -
Coach
Bonny
began her swim career over 40 years ago. Bonny has experience as a summer
league, age group, high school, college, US National team member, and Masters
swimmer. She attended Pine Crest High School in Ft Lauderdale, FL where she was
a 4 year All-American and the top high school freestyler in the nation her
Junior and Senior years. From there, Bonnie joined the US National team where
she was a gold medalist at the Pan-American Games and the World Championships in
1975. In college, Bonny swam at the University of North Carolina. At UNC, Bonny
was a 4-year All-American, NCAA Champion, and American Record Holder. She added
another gold medal at the World University Games in 1977. In 1980, Bonnie
received the Patterson Award at UNC. This award is given annually to the top
athlete at the university. Bonny was the first woman to receive this award,
which was first given in 1924.
Bonny
began her coaching career over 30 years ago. During this time, she has coached
summer league, age group, and high school swimmers. Bonny is the current coach
of all 5 of the Catoosa County School Swim teams: HMS, LFO, LMS, RHS & RMS. She
also has many years experience teaching swimming lessons and working with
special needs swimmers.
